3.Guild Treasury
4.Being a Chosen

  1. This guild has been founded to accomplish one purpose, and one purpose only, to facilitate the enjoyment of the game EverQuest without subtracting from other players enjoyment of the game. The first consideration of TCO is that this is only a game, and people play a game for enjoyment, not to add another burden to their lives.
  2. While EverQuest is only a game, the time expended playing it is real, and has true value to its players.
  3. This Charter shall provide the framework for the guild's operation so that confusion and waste of time is minimized. It will provide for member's rights and responsibilities.
  4. The Chosen Ones have the following titles, appointments and offices to enumerate responsibilities and expectations;
    1. Titles are held by a member for life or until resignation or removal.
      Chosen: A full member.
Elder: An officer, member of the Group of Elders.
  5. All members of The Chosen Ones must abide by the code of conduct. The Code is an inherent part of the guild, it is the window the rest of the world views the guild and its members through. Breaking the code shows a selfish disregard for the guild and other Chosen, and will not be tolerated.
    1. Kill Stealing (KS'ing) of any manner is forbidden. There is no excuse for it. Petition in situations involving other KS'ers. Confirmed KS'ing is grounds for immediate removal by any officer. Consistent reports of KS'ing will result in a Council review, which will result in removal if found guilty.
    2. Purposeful training of hostile creatures onto anyone is forbidden. See 1.
    3. Taking advantage of game bugs, or Exploitation, is forbidden. Not only will you be removed from the guild, but your actions will be reported to Verant.
    4. Looting without group consent, or with intention of stealing, or ninja looting, is forbidden, see 1.
    5. Spamming guild chat, a zone or any forum is bad manners, and discouraged. Repeated spamming will result in removal.
    6. Cheating in a trade is forbidden, see 1.
    7. Chosen do not lie, and keep their word. Consistent reports of falsification will result in a Council review and discipline.
    8. In the case of a camp, a Chosen will offer to come to an agreement to share a camp if possible. In the case of defending a camp that cannot be shared, KS'ing is not an issue. Chosen will NOT force their way into a camp if the current campers are not willing to come to an agreement.
    9. TCO does not recognize Free For All (FFA) areas.
  6. Item and Service Etiquette and Guild Treasury:
    1. Items or money are not the purpose of TCO.
    2. Selling, or offering services and items over guildchat is reasonable. However, spamming guild chat is forbiden, see Code of Conduct.
    3. Requesting items or services is reasonable, demanding them is forbidden. No one is under obligation to give anything away, unless stated elsewhere in this charter.
    4. Any member may at any time contribute to the guild treasury, at which time it becomes property of the guild, until expressly given into another's ownership. Bestowing custody does not constitute ownership.
    5. In any guild run event in which a non-No Drop item is acquired, the guild is considered a member for purposes of a Lottery. The guild may only get one item in this way until everyone in the group has received one, then the guild is eligible for the lottery again for that group.
    6. Any member may request funds from the Guild treasury at anytime. The request is considered by the Treasurer, and denied, accepted or negotiated. Unless authorized by an Elder, all funds given are loans, to be repaid on a schedule negotiated by Treasurer and member requesting funds
  7. Chosen
    1. A Chosen is a full member of the guild, and remains so until resignation from the guild or removal by the Warden or a Council Review.
    2. A Chosen has the right to request use of the Treasury, and may attend any Guild Event s/he qualifies for.
    3. A Chosen is under no obligations to the guild, other than to follow the Code of Conduct, unless under the obligations of another title, appointment or office.
    4. A Chosen must consider a request from any other Chosen, but is not obligated to comply unless that request is made by a Elder pertaining to the Code, at which time the Chosen MUST comply, and if felt wronged may request a Council Review of the matter.
    5. A Chosen may request a Council Review by posting to the message board ATTN COUNCIL REVIEW. A body to the message is optional. The Chosen will be contacted privately by the Registrar, either in game or via a messaging service (ICQ or E-Mail) about the next Council Meeting date and time, and as to the nature of the problem.
